About Us

Greetings fellow paddlers!

Sebago Kayak Company is proud to be in our third year in business.  Look for us  across from the town dock in beautiful Naples, Maine.  We’re optimistic that this summer will not begin with as much rain as last year!!

Sebago Kayak is owned by Ted Raymond, who hails from Fryeburg, ME.  He got his introduction to the paddle sports industry in the ‘80s working for Fred and Prudy Westerburg at Saco River Canoe and Kayak, an outfitter on the popular Saco River. 

After College Ted took a hiatus from corporate life to guide kayak trips full time in Lake Tahoe California, for Tahoe Paddle and Oar. He’s hooked and has remained active in kayaking ever since. Returning to the east coast,  he guided for several outfitters, while also working as a technical-rep for several lines of kayaks and gear.

When we are not working at the shop, we are most content just kayaking — participating in several long range trips a year on northern rivers, or off the beautiful coast of Maine.
